How to create a Wi-Fi QR code
Make a free Wi-Fi QR code so guests can join your network by scanning — no typing the password. Works with the built-in camera on iPhone and Android.
Open the generatorSteps
- 1
Open the Wi-Fi generator
Open the QRForge generator and choose the Wi-Fi data type.
- 2
Enter your network details
Type your network name (SSID), choose the security type (usually WPA/WPA2), and enter the password. Mark the network as hidden only if it does not broadcast its name.
- 3
Customize the look (optional)
Adjust the colors, add a center logo, and set the error-correction level to H so the code still scans reliably with a logo on top.
- 4
Download and display it
Download the code as a print-ready PNG or scalable SVG, then print it and place it where guests can scan it.
Frequently asked questions
Do guests need a special app to scan it?
No. The built-in camera on iPhone and most modern Android phones detects a Wi-Fi QR code and offers to join the network automatically.
Is the Wi-Fi password stored anywhere?
No. QRForge generates the code in your browser, so the network details are encoded directly into the image and not uploaded to a server.
